American Pharmacists Association®

The Academy of Student Pharmacists (ASP), the largest pharmacy student organization at UCSF, is the student branch of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the first established and largest professional association of pharmacists in the United States. The mission of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) is to be the collective voice of pharmacy students, to provide opportunities for professional growth, and to envision and actively promote the future of pharmacy.

 

APhA is the voice of the pharmacy profession. It is the only professional organization that has members in all fields of pharmacy practice. APhA represents pharmacists from diverse fields including pharmacists working in hospitals, community, industry, academia, management, clinical pharmacists specializing in pharmaceutical care, and even pharmacists that have unique careers such as nuclear pharmacists, diabetes specialists, nutrition support, oncology, and pharmacotherapy.
